Precision Machining Research Consortium

Precision Machining & 5-Axis CNC

Research Assistant :

I joined the Precision Machining Research Consortium (PMRC) as a research assistant while completing my coursework at Georgia Tech. In the following three years, I gained experience in a wide range of advanced topics including digital manufacturing, equipment monitoring, and the operation/programming of multi-axis CNC machine tools.

Our research team focused on three main areas:

  • Direct Digital Manufacturing

  • Industry 4.0 / Digital Twin

  • Data Analytics for Predictive Maintenance and Monitoring

I was privileged to contribute to projects in each of these three areas and work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. My experience at the PMRC has given me valuable exposure to advanced topics and paradigms that industry is currently leveraging to address their operational challenges.
